Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults is for seeking to know more about Catholicism, those who have been baptized in other faith traditions, those who have not completed the sacraments of initiation, and those who have been away for a long time who would like to know more about their faith, the Church's teachings and prayer.
The parish invites boys and girls to serve the entire parish congregation by assisting the priest at Mass and at other liturgical services. Those who have been altar servers in other parishes are encouraged to continue their ministry at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Eucharistic Ministers serve the precious body and blood of Christ to fellow parishioners both weekdays and weekends. This sacred ministry is the most precious ministry a lay person may participate in during Mass.
Ministers provide the Eucharist and spiritual presence to the elderly, homebound, hospitalized, and residents of local nursing homes and adult care centers to keep them connected with our parish family.
Lectors are members of the community whose purpose is to proclaim the Word of God during Mass. Proclaiming the Sacred Scriptures is different from other kinds of public speaking. Lectors need to pray and express the Word of God as a proclamation.
The Liturgical Minister plans special liturgies for various important Feasts throughout the Liturgical Year and assists other ministries to provide liturgical experiences for the congregation that promotes full, active, conscious participation by everyone in prayer.
Arts and Environment Ministry is responsible for the beautiful and inspiring church decorations that are such an integral part of the major liturgical feasts throughout the year.
This ministry is to adore and protect the Blessed Sacrament. Participants commit to one particular hour each week praying before the Blessed sacrament for various purposes and the salvation of all people.
Sacristans are parishioners who insure that the Lectionary, Sacramentary, liturgical vessels, and linens are properly set for Mass or other liturgical functions. Sacristans assist the priest in his preparations for Mass to allow him quiet time to prepare for the celebration of Mass.
Ushers represent the community as hosts or hostesses, welcoming parishioners in an atmosphere of hospitality and friendliness giving the feeling of a truly joyful celebration. They are the guardians of a prayerful environment necessary to assist parishioners during Mass as the priests leads them to prayer.
The Cathedral of the Immaculate Heart of Mary has several choirs. The focus of each individual choir is to serve as ministers that lead, inspire and enhance worship through music, as they raise their voices and the sound of instruments to the glory and praise of God's name.
