Construction is complete

Fr. Bill has announced to the Cathedral Parish that a new rectory (priests residence) will be constructed on the cathedral grounds (see his letter in the Spring 2013 "Heartbeat" newsletter. Click here to view). After reviewing the bids, the contract was awarded to: Spirit View Homes, contractor Oscar Padilla (a parishioner at Newman Center).

After the sale of the current home off Telshor and generous donations from parishoners, the net cost to the the Cathedral will be almost nothing. One part of the contract deals with the drainage problem in the grassy area. This problem would have had to have been addressed regardless of the new rectory or not. So that part of the contract will be paid from Cathedral Funds.

The project was completed in Nov 2013
